The outskirts of Guadalajara, then a family farm in Juanacatlán, Jalisco: the youngest of eight children, seven of them boys, a red-haired kid who learned to ride horses before he learned to box. He started at around 13, after watching his older brother Rigoberto turn professional, and at 15 he won the Mexican junior national title. His trainers, Chepo and Eddy Reynoso, could not find junior opponents for him. In October 2005, at 15, Canelo Álvarez turned professional in Tonalá, Mexico. Start at fight one and watch his career, one fight at a time.
