“The Bronze Bomber” · Heavyweight · 2008–2026

Tuscaloosa, Alabama: a teenager who dreamed of playing football or basketball for his home-town university, until the birth of his daughter changed his plans. He walked into a boxing gym in Northport in October 2005, already 20, and began training under Jay Deas. Two years later he won the National Golden Gloves and the US championships, and in 2008 he took heavyweight bronze at the Beijing Olympics. That November, at 23, Deontay Wilder turned professional in Nashville, Tennessee. Start at fight one and watch his career, one fight at a time.
