Justin Gaethje

“The Highlight” · Lightweight · 2011–2026

Safford, Arizona: a copper miner’s son and the grandson of miners, with a twin brother who worked the Morenci mine too. At 18 he spent a summer there himself, 12-hour shifts seven days a week, and heard co-workers say he would be back. He went to the University of Northern Colorado instead, wrestled his way to NCAA Division I All-American in 2010, and won all seven of his amateur MMA fights. In August 2011, at 22, Justin Gaethje had his first professional MMA fight, in Broomfield, Colorado. Start at fight one and watch his career, one fight at a time.
